Our Services
Take a look at the services we can provide you in the comfort and safety of your own home.
If you have any specific tasks you would like us to help with then just let us know.
Older People
Providing older people with the best possible quality of care enables them to make choices about their quality of life.
Domestic services can provide assistance with nutrition, often through basic support tasks like accompanied shopping and helping prepare meals, whilst at the same time helping the individual to retain or regain key skills themselves.
We also offer enhanced services such as those for older people with physical disabilities, or specialist services for conditions like dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Children’s Services
We believe that giving young people the best start in life is the surest way both of helping individuals achieve their individual potential and building a cohesive and healthy community as a whole.
We regard services for young people, from promoting the highest standards of personal care to supporting social inclusion and opportunities for education, leisure, sport etc. as being of paramount importance. We have experience working with children across a wide range of conditions - including for example:
- Autistic spectrum
- Sensory impairment / dual sensory impairment
- Brain injuries
- Spinal injuries
- Severe and partial physical disabilities
- Profound and minor learning difficulties
|
- Cerebral palsy
- Challenging behaviour
- Substance abuse
- Terminal illness
- Coping with challenging social environments or unstable family life

Children’s Services (continued)
We also work with families to provide supported access and contact with children, to support opportunities for education and social activities and to support children to prevent social exclusion. We tailor our service to each individual to ensure that the abilities they have are maintained and utilised, and the areas where assistance is required are covered with minimal intrusion into the daily life of the Service User and their social and family network.
Our services aim to treat every person as an individual, with needs, which may differ from those of other people with a superficially similar condition. So although we have guidelines and procedures for children with autism for example, the service still needs to be tailored within these guidelines to meet the needs of the child not just the condition. Each person's needs are considered individually.
Children’s Services (continued)
We manage care for children and young people on behalf of local authorities across the UK. We also have a substantial private client base covering this service. These services cover children with profound mental health conditions, physical disabilities or learning difficulties who will need assistance with nearly every aspect of daily living. We also work with individuals with a minor condition who may be able to function adequately in the vast majority of their daily living with support, and with families to provide respite care.
We understand from our experience that above all we must work in partnership with all stakeholders to provide a safe environment in which individually tailored care, education, encouragement and positive therapies can help each child to develop a range of skills and maximise their potential. The outcome will be to minimise the need for support and ideally to work towards the safe withdrawal of service or the smooth transition to adult services when the time arises.
The principle of our service is to respect young peoples wishes, to support and promote independence, choice, dignity and opportunity and to provide a developmental service that evolves in line with the Service User’s own needs and abilities.

- Other illnesses that affects the way the brain works
Dementia
Dementia is a progressive illness, which shows a range of symptoms. Early symptoms include forgetfulness and problems in short term memory, which gradually become more marked. The progression of the illness brings with it confusion, disorientation, the inability to reason, and in some changes personality. These symptoms affect people in different ways and at different times during the course of the illness.
We can construct an appropriate care plan to support this, whether it be everyday tasks such as washing and dressing to companionship through a sitting service.
We will work closely with GPs, Community Nurses and your Local Community Mental Health Team, this will result in the tailor made care plan for each individual.
Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive illness that is unique to the individual and is by far most common cause of dementia. Memory, speech and communication will be affected leaving the individual to rely on non verbal cues, such as body language and facial expressions. Individuals with Alzheimer’s disease experience gradual disruption of mental abilities caused by the structural changes in the brain.
We can construct a care plan for the individual and will work closely with GPs Community Nurses and your Local Mental Health Team.
